Recipe for vanilla crescent-shaped rolls
260 g plain flour
200 g butter
100 g caster sugar
100 g ground hazelnuts
1 egg yolk,
vanilla sugar.
Make the dough and leave to rest in the fridge for at least an hour. Then make the crescent-shaped rolls, ideally with the help of moulds. Then put them on a greased, or baking paper-lined baking tray. This batch should make about 2.5 trays of biscuits. Bake slowly, so that the hazelnuts in the dough do not get burnt, they would turn bitter. While still hot, coat the baked crescent-shaped rolls in icing sugar mixed with vanilla sugar. Store in a box in a cool place.
